Materials and Textures

In SceneEngine, complex shading trees can be created by connecting Materials and Textures. Both Materials and Textures are derived from the same base Block, so throughout this document Material means Material or Texture.

Toolbar

  • Materials Browser

Opens the Materials Browser panel.

  • New Material or Texture

Displays the New Block panel limited to Materials and Textures and creates a new material or texture based on the selection.

  • Assing material

Assings the material that is being edited to the selected nodes.

  • Insert material

Creates a new material or texture and inserts it between the material that is being edited and it's dependant.

  • Delete material

Removes the material that is being edited from its dependants.

  • Clone material

Clones the material that is being edited.

  • Go to dependant

Starts editing the dependant material.

  • Go to sibling

Starts editing the next sibling material.
